From its inception in 1968 in San Diego, California,
California Ballet Company
has been a fertile ground for the re-staging of the demanding classics
and for the creation of its own trail-blazing works. Choreographed originally
by CBC founder Maxine Mahon, California Ballet’s rendition of
“The Nutcracker”
will also include a cast of talented young dancers from
Durango’s esteemed dance studios.
