Called a beautiful and fascinating exchange among great artists, Acoustic Africa features three of the mysterious continent’s finest: Dobet Gnahore, vocalist and dancer who has garnered a reputation as one of the most vibrant performers in world music; bassist and vocalist Manu Gallo, whose music draws on rhythms of West Africa as well as funk and R&B; and Kareyce Fotso, whose music is an intriguing combination of Afro-pop, blues and traditional African music. The exciting singers are backed by an all-star band including Ivorians balafonist Aly Keita.
