| Spanish Dracula ~ 1931 Movie Classic! In partnership with the Durango Independent Film Festival, the Community Concert Hall will screen the 1931 sub-titled movie Spanish Dracula, accompanied by Grammy-nominated guitarist Gary Lucas, performing live with an original score. Lucas has been dubbed "The Thinking Man's Guitar Hero" by The New Yorker and “One of the best and most original guitarists in America" by Rolling Stone. He has just returned from a European solo tour including performing his live score for Spanish Dracula at the annual music festival of Bilbao, Spain. Spanish Dracula, filmed simultaneously (and on the same sets) as the Bela Lugosi version of Dracula, is said to be more effective in emphasizing the eroticism inherent in the original Stoker novel.
