An Evening with Bobcat Goldthwait
Due to circumstances outside of the artist’s control, Bobcat Goldthwait’s show on Sunday, Aug. 25, at the Community Concert Hall at Fort Lewis College has been cancelled. Goldthwait was scheduled as the headline comic for the Four Corners Comedy Showcase (Aug. 23-25) in Durango. Read below for more info:
The show at the Community Concert Hall will go on, however, as “The Best of the Fest,” with headliner Jay Whitecotton. He will be joined on stage by a number of comedians tagged as most popular by attendees to the full Comedy Showcase, which features 30 comedians from across the country.
Jay Whitecotton, as he notes, “is the product of a clinically diagnosed schizophrenic family of drug addicted Star Trek nerds, who would rage tweak all night while playing Dungeons and Dragons. Somehow this was not a setback.” Wihtecotton’s comedy has been seen on FOX, Hulu and FusionTV and he has performed at Funny or Die’s Oddball Fest, Moontower Comedy Fest, Australia’s Adelaide Fringe Festival, Las Vegas Punk Rock and Bowling, and many more. His debut album Hi, Lonesome! reached #1 on iTunes and his second release, Monster Ballads, as he explained, helped him afford a night out at Olive Garden. Whitecotton was a featured performer with the American Heretics Comedy Tour as heard on Sirius XM Radio Canada.
